Job summary

Phillips Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist to support vegetation management field operations nationwide. The role emphasizes inspections, training, and adherence to safety protocols under the supervision of the Safety Manager. Frequent travel and collaboration with safety professionals are required.

The position focuses on field inspections, hazard identification, and effective safety documentation, with responsibilities including job briefings, permits, and safety audits across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• Professional safety certification (ASP or GSP) preferred.
• Two years safety management experience or five years in related fields.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular walk-through inspections of sites to ensure safety compliance with ANSI Z133 and OSHA.
• Observe crew practices and inspect PPE, equipment, and safe operation of tools.
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented.
• Assist in preparing safety documentation and inspection reports.
• Support safety inspections, audits, and training for crews.
• Lead onboarding and safety training including first aid/CPR and equipment safety.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations.
