Job summary

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is looking for a Field Safety Specialist II to lead fleet and warehouse safety programs across PBV divisions and drive reductions in incidents. You will analyze driving data, conduct audits, coach leaders, and implement safety initiatives.

Based in North Carolina, the role requires strong knowledge of US DOT/FMCSA regulations, program management experience, and the ability to mentor safety professionals while rolling out company-wide improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and five years in fleet/safety.
• DOT physical capable with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of US DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Experience with safety audits and program management.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Ability to lead a safety team and roll out initiatives.
• Professional demeanor with tact and discretion.
• Ability to develop and execute action plans.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Serve as DSD subject matter expert for all EHS programs.
• Lead PBV-wide driving performance initiatives across DSD, BES, and OTR.
• Develop standardized driver coaching and remediation programs.
• Respond to vehicle incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Conduct transportation and regulatory compliance audits.
• Analyze driving safety metrics and develop improvement strategies.
• Monitor driver performance and provide coaching as necessary.
• Implement EHS technological solutions across territory.
• Partner with operations leaders to advance safety programs.
• Perform regular safety audits and inspections of facilities and fleet.
• Identify hazards and recommend improvements.
• Mentor Field Safety Specialists and operational leaders.
