Hulcher Services is seeking a motivated and success-driven Field Safety Specialist. You will play a vital role in the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive safety program.

Hulcher Service is an industry leader with more than 500 employees and over 25 divisions located in the United States and Mexico, assisting customers with derailments, engineering work, track maintenance, disaster response, and environmental projects.

What You'll Do:

1. Provide assistance for the study, development, and application of training related to your region of responsibility and those reporting to this position.
2. Investigate health, safety, and environmental incidents, including DOT-related incidents, prepare reports of findings, and recommend corrective actions to management.
3. Ensure field operations comply with OSHA, FRA, and other health and safety regulatory agencies.
4. Audit facilities to detect existing or potential safety and health hazards and recommend corrective or preventative measures.
5. Conduct site surveys to determine safe exposure limits to materials or conditions such as temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, vapors, mists, gases, and solvents.
6. Recommend, implement, and monitor control measures for exposure to hazardous materials or conditions.
7. Provide technical guidance to management on occupational health & safety concerns, including the correct use of personal protective equipment and respiratory protection.
8. Contribute to the development of new training curricula in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
9. Maintain safety files and records.

Requirements:

What You Bring:

• Accuracy in record keeping is critical for the efficient performance of this position.
• Associate degree in safety or a related discipline, or a bachelor’s degree in safety or a related discipline.

Additional qualifications include:

• Three (3) years of related field operations, instructor, or similar experience.
• Five (5) years of safety-related work experience.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations.
