Job summary

Harder Mechanical Contractors is seeking a Project Safety Professional for a data center project in Sparks, NV. This field-based role collaborates with project management, supervision, and crews to identify hazards and reinforce safety expectations.

The position requires flexibility for early start times, weekends, and variable shifts in a dynamic construction environment. Ideal candidates will have OSHA 30 and 2+ years of safety experience in construction, with strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification required or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years safety experience in construction or field safety role.
• Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support incident prevention through field observations and inspections.
• Conduct job walks to identify hazards and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with superintendents to support safe work planning.
• Assist with PPE assessments and ensure proper use in the field.
• Participate in incident investigations and support corrective actions.
• Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks at sites.
• Assist with pre task planning tools and hazard analyses.
• Track safety documentation and training records.
• Communicate safety expectations to crews clearly and professionally.
• Support early start times and additional shift coverage when needed.
