This is a hands-on role in the field, collaborating with employees and leaders across construction sites, asphalt plants, trucking operations, equipment shops, laboratories and offices. Qualifications

• Five or more years of safety experience in construction or related industrial environment.
• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience delivering training, assessing hazards, conducting investigations and implementing safety improvements.
• Strong communication, organization and follow-through.
• Proficiency with technology and training/inspection/recordkeeping systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• OSHA 30 and CPR/AED certification, CHST or CSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build strong working relationships across operations and leadership.
• Learn the work, assess risks and integrate safety into planning and daily decisions.
• Develop and coordinate practical safety training, orientations and toolbox talks.
• Coach managers and supervisors to communicate expectations and improvements.
• Keep safety programs, inspections, training records and documentation current.
• Lead incident investigations and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
