Job summary

Ameren is seeking a Safety Supervisor to lead safety performance improvements across assigned areas, conduct safety meetings, and coach leaders on best practices. The role requires planning, risk identification, and regulatory interpretation to ensure compliance and reduce injuries.

The Senior Safety Supervisor adds responsibility for complex investigations, program development, and senior leadership reporting, with travel across the territory and extended hours during storms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
• Three or more years of safety, utility operations, industrial, construction, or related experience is required.
• Working knowledge of occupational safety regulations and safety management principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to improve safety performance across assigned areas and strengthen accountability for safety.
• Assist operating groups in planning, conducting, and evaluating safety meetings and safety committee activities.
• Interpret safety requirements and recommend compliance strategies.
• Conduct field safety observations, identify risks, and provide feedback and recommendations.
• Deliver coaching on safe work practices and behavioral safety.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Business, or a related field

Five+ years of progressively responsible safety experience (Senior)
