Job summary

InfraSource is seeking a Field Safety Specialist to lead jobsite safety across an assigned area. The role reports to the Area Safety Manager and emphasizes crew safety leadership and proactive safety management.

Responsibilities include area audits, injury management, safety training, investigations, and OSHA coordination. Travel within the region is required; a strong safety background with certifications is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum natural gas utility safety experience, OSHA 30, and additional accredited safety certification i.e. CUSP, CHST.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety with 1 year of verifiable safety experience.
• Maintain overhead and underground electric safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Embody and apply core safety values: safety, quality, integrity, ownership, service, teamwork.
• Perform area and job site safety audits based on event data and safety needs.
• Coordinate injury management with Workman’s Comp and area resources.
• Provide area-level safety leadership and promote a positive safety culture.
• Participate in company-wide safety audits and coordinate corrective actions feedback.
• Shall lead or assist with safety investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Report daily safety experience and daily plan of day inaccuracies.
• Assist with training and scheduling as directed by Regional Safety Manager.
• Support special safety projects and process improvements.
