Job summary

Delta Utility Services, Inc. seeks a Safety Manager to lead the company-wide safety program, maintaining a strong field presence and collaborating with crews, supervisors, project managers and leadership.

You will conduct field safety audits, manage OSHA compliance and utility-safety requirements, develop policies and training, and lead investigations with corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Travel to job sites regionally is expected.

Qualifications

• Safety management experience in utilities or related construction industries.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety practices.
• Experience conducting field audits, investigations, and training.
• Ability to identify hazards and implement practical controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to enforce safety expectations while maintaining relationships.
• Travel to Delta job sites regionally is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of Delta's safety program.
• Maintain a strong field presence by visiting job sites and working with crews.
• Conduct field safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Monitor OSHA regulations and utility-safety requirements.
• Develop, update, and implement safety policies, procedures, and training.
• Lead safety training, orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher sessions.
• Investigate injuries, near misses, and other safety events with root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate corrective actions and maintain required safety documentation.
• Track safety trends and identify areas for improvement.
• Support customer safety requirements and contractor compliance systems such as ISNetworld.
• Provide CPR/First Aid and other required safety training as appropriate.
• Ensure proper PPE, training, tools, and information for safe work.
• Contribute to job planning and risk assessment processes.
