Job summary

COMMERCIAL CONTRACTING CORPORATION seeks a Project Safety Supervisor to independently supervise, support, and coordinate safety execution on a long-term Texas project. You will partner with project teams, operations leadership, customers, subcontractors, and craft personnel to promote a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.

The role covers modular building construction in a switchyard environment, with responsibilities from startup through completion and future growth opportunities

Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 Certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of construction safety experience.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
  • Experience supervising and supporting active construction projects in field environments.
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and safety training.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and provide effective field leadership.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate commitment to CCC's people-based safety culture and adhere to all requirements in CCC Safety Manual.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, customer safety requirements, and CCC safety policies.
  • Partner with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, craft professionals, subcontractors, and customer representatives to promote safe work practices and project success.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans.
  • Conduct employee, visitor, and subcontractor safety orientations.
  • Supervise and support site safety activities for six modular buildings within an electrical switchyard environment.
  • Monitor safety performance for CCC self-perform operations (steel erection, concrete, excavation).
  • Facilitate pre-task planning meetings, JHAs, and Safe Work Planning activities.
  • Perform routine safety inspections, audits, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, injuries, property damage events, and safety concerns.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety meetings, and specialized safety training.
  • Maintain employee qualification records, certifications, training records, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist project leadership with safety reporting, trend analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor subcontractor safety performance and verify compliance with site requirements.
  • Participate in weekly safety walks, observations, and client safety meetings.
  • Partner with field leadership to identify hazards and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Support project startup, turnover, and closeout activities.
  • Build positive working relationships with customers, employees, subcontractors, and project leadership.
  • Provide leadership and coaching that reinforces CCC's safety-first culture.
