Job summary

Commercial Contracting Corporation is seeking a Project Safety Supervisor to independently supervise, support, and coordinate safety practices on a long-term Texas project. You will partner with project teams, operations leadership, customers, subcontractors, and craft personnel to promote a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.

The role covers modular-building construction at an electrical switchyard, requiring field leadership, hazard identification, and proactive risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
• Experience supervising and supporting active construction projects in field environments.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and safety training.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide effective field leadership.
• Ability to build strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to CCC's safety culture and follow Safety Manual.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, customer safety requirements, and CCC policies.
• Partner with project leaders to promote safe work practices.
• Develop and maintain project-specific safety plans.
• Conduct employee, visitor, and subcontractor safety orientations.
• Supervise site safety activities for six modular buildings.
• Monitor safety performance for self-perform operations.
• Lead pre-task planning meetings and JHAs.
• Perform safety inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and near misses.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training.
• Maintain qualification and training records.
• Assist leadership with safety reporting and trend analysis.
• Support subcontractor safety performance and client safety meetings.
• Participate in weekly safety walks and client meetings.
• Provide leadership reinforcing safety-first culture.
