Job summary

C.R. Crawford Construction is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to support and enhance the company's safety culture across active construction projects. This role conducts field safety audits, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes a proactive safety culture.

You will work with Superintendents, Project Managers, and trade partners; frequent travel between active jobsites is required. Experience in inspections, incident investigations, and safety training is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
• Experience in construction safety, field operations, risk management, or a related construction role.
• Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct jobsite inspections, audits, investigations, and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Safety Program Administration: Support implementation and enforcement of safety policies and procedures.
• Field Safety Oversight: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across active project sites.
• Incident Investigation & Risk Management: Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Training & Safety Awareness: Conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain safety records and prepare reports.
