Job summary

Strobel Energy Group is seeking an onsite Safety Manager to oversee EHS practices for construction activities. You will lead safety training, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with supervision, HR and engineering teams to maintain a strong safety culture.

The role requires extensive field experience, OSHA certifications, and a detailed, people-focused approach to safety and site audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in safety/EHS oversight in construction.
• OSHA 10/30 certifications required.
• Experience with heavy civil and industrial construction safety.
• Proven track record in excavation, cranes, fall protection and hazardous materials.
• Knowledge of stormwater and air emission controls on site.
• Ability to maintain safety logs and documentation.
• Familiar with federal, state and local regulations.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enforce EHS practices in the field.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Lead and train staff on safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits.
• Investigate incidents and near misses.
• Maintain safety logs and documentation.
• Provide first aid and emergency response support.
• Coordinate with supervision, HR, and engineering teams.
• Participate in client and safety meetings.
