Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a Safety Specialist to provide leadership and support for field teams. You will advise on safety requirements, lead toolbox talks, and review site safety plans and permits to ensure regulatory compliance across projects.

Ideal candidates have OSHA certifications and construction safety experience, with strong communication and training coordination skills. Travel to sites may be required as part of project support.

Qualifications

• Education in Occupational Health & Safety or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour or higher certifications desirable.
• Experience in construction safety and site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership and support to field employees.
• Advise operations on safety requirements and planning.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings as directed.
• Review and escalate issues with site safety plans and permits.
• Conduct daily jobsite walks for audits and hazard identification.
• Participate in incident investigations with senior safety leadership.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate training and maintain safety documentation.
• Travel may be required.
