Job summary

Heritage Cooperative is seeking a Field Safety Coordinator in Delaware, OH. The role focuses on performing OSHA-like inspections, identifying hazards, and implementing corrective actions across multiple locations while promoting safety culture.

The position requires a HS diploma, preferred safety-related degree, and OSHA certification. Travel up to 50% may be needed to support audits and training activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s in safety, ag business or related field preferred.
• Experience in agriculture cooperative or energy sector encouraged.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Conduct OSHA-like inspections and audits at Heritage Cooperative locations.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure up-to-date safety policies and procedures are in place.
• Verify recordkeeping compliance and train employees on safety tasks.
• Coordinate training across divisions and locations; may require overnight travel.
• Investigate workplace incidents and recommend corrective measures.
• Support Director of Safety Risk & Compliance and Safety Manager.
