Job summary

Heritage Cooperative is seeking a Field Safety Coordinator to lead safety inspections across its network. You will coordinate OSHA-style audits, identify hazards, and drive corrective actions while ensuring compliance with policies and training requirements.

The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to travel up to half the time, and a commitment to safety culture. A High School Diploma is required, with a Bachelor’s degree in safety-related fields preferred and OSHA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, agriculture business, or related field preferred.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification, or willingness to obtain a 30 within bounds of employment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform OSHA-like inspections and audits at Heritage Cooperative locations.
• Identify hazards, assess risks, and develop corrective actions.
• Ensure up-to-date policies and procedures are in place at each location.
• Verify recordkeeping is conducted as required and train employees on safety tasks.
• Review training needs and coordinate enrollment across divisions and locations.
• Prepare findings and recommendations reports to share across facilities.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required (travel 50% or more).
• Assist in investigating workplace accidents and recommend corrective measures.
• Collaborate with Safety Risk, Compliance, and Safety Manager to enforce policy.
