Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a hands-on Safety Coordinator for Cincinnati and Dayton markets. The role supports field leadership and project teams on major hospital, utility, and site development projects, emphasizing safety program execution and regulatory compliance.

You will perform jobsite inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations while maintaining strong field presence and proactive safety measures. The position offers path to long-term W2 leadership roles.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification.
• 3+ years of safety experience or a recent Safety Degree graduate.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple project locations.
• Willingness to spend the majority of time in the field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine jobsite inspections and safety audits.
• Monitor project compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Support implementation of site safety controls and PPE programs.
• Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions.
• Conduct field observations and safety assessments.
• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Review jobsite safety performance and documentation.
• Support toolbox talks and safety communications.
• Assist project teams with JHAs and hazard assessments.
• Work closely with supervisors, foremen, and project leadership.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across all assigned projects.
• Travel between jobsites in the Cincinnati and Dayton markets.
