Job summary

Viaero Wireless in Fort Morgan, CO invites a Safety Coordinator to lead safety programs across our operations. You will implement trainings, conduct inspections, and ensure DOT compliance to protect employees, contractors, and visitors.

The role requires OSHA 30-hour certification, experience in telecom or construction safety, and strong communication skills to engage crews at all levels. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and coordinating safety programs and trainings.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and OSHA standards.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training at all levels.
• Must pass pre-employment processes including substance screening, background, and MVR checks.
• Experience in telecommunications, utilities, wind energy or construction with fall protection safety.
• 30-hour OSHA certification is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections, hazard assessments and audits.
• Recommend control measures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct safety meetings and provide supervisors with material for crew meetings.
• Maintain records of safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions taken.
• Ensure DOT driver qualification files and medical cards are up to date.
• Deliver safety training, fleet training and safety policies to employees.
• Travel to sites up to 30% to train and advise crews.
• Monitor and train contractors on safety practices.
• Coordinate training on tower climbing safety, lockout/tagout, fall protection.
• Update Job Descriptions for safety training.
• Assist HR with drug and alcohol testing program.
• Track PPE usage and maintain inventory.
• Collaborate to foster safety culture.
• Work with HR on safety program documentation and compliance.
• Stay current with industry standards and regulations.
