The ideal candidate has 3+ years in construction safety, strong OSHA knowledge, and the ability to travel between sites. The position emphasizes training, documentation, and continuous safety improvements on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction safety
• Strong understanding of OSHA standards and construction safety practices
• Experience working on active construction sites (civil or related preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively with field crews and leadership
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify hazards
• Ability to take initiative and address issues proactively
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between jobsites
• OSHA 30 or OSHA 500 certification (preferred)
• First Aid / CPR certification (preferred)
• Experience with incident investigation and reporting processes (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Field Safety Oversight and site audits on active projects
• Identify unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are taken immediately
• Reinforce safe work practices with field teams
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and project-specific requirements
• Respond to and document incidents, near misses, and injuries
• Coordinate with leadership and HR on reporting and follow-up
• Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation
• Work with superintendents and foremen to integrate safety into daily operations
• Assist in safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks
• Balance safety expectations with practical field execution
