Job summary

Henderson Building Solutions seeks a Safety Coordinator to support mission critical projects in the Washington, D.C. area. You will help implement safety programs, coordinate trainings, and assist in inspections to promote a safe work environment across sites.

You will work with Safety Managers and Specialists to maintain compliance, track safety metrics, and prepare incident reports. The role emphasizes proactive hazard identification and a strong safety culture on field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in safety, construction mgmt or related field.
• OSHA 10/30 required or obtainable within defined timeframe.
• Experience supporting safety audits, inspections, or reporting.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing safety programs, policies and procedures on projects.
• Support jobsite audits, inspections, and hazard identification activities.
• Monitor jobsites for compliance and report findings to safety leadership.
• Maintain safety documentation including reports, logs and inspection records.
• Coordinate and facilitate safety orientations and training sessions.
• Promote safe work practices and a positive safety culture on project teams.
• Attend safety meetings, toolbox talks, and project kickoff activities.
