Job summary

ValSource Inc. seeks a dedicated Field Safety Representative to join our Safety Division on a full-time basis at multiple locations, including Rahway, NJ.

The role supports a long-term safety leadership program in pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, promoting a strong safety culture and protecting personnel across projects. The ideal candidate will oversee hazard recognition, contractor safety performance, incident investigations, and safe transitions from construction through operations, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant field experience considered.
• 6–8 years of professional construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Review, tracking, approval and administration of job safety analyses and pre-task safety plans.
• Administer client-specific hazardous work permit processes and logs.
• Administer Contractor Safety orientation process.
• Review and approval of Daily Safe Plans of Action (SPA).
• Collect and maintain contractor safety training documentation.
• Complete construction site safety and health audits.
• Research and interpret applicable safety standards and client procedures.
• Work with contractors and project teams to maintain high safety performance.
• Collect, manage and report safety metrics.
• Maintain project safety look-ahead logs and participate in weekly reviews.
• Review safety programs and provide improvement recommendations.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Stand/walk most of the day; climb ladders/scaffolds; lift up to 35 lbs.
