Job summary

ValSource is actively seeking a dedicated Field Safety Representative to join our Safety Division across multiple client sites, supporting safety leadership in pharmaceutical and biotech projects.

The role involves leading field safety programs, reviewing risk assessments, administering permits, and partnering with contractors to maintain best-in-class safety culture. Weekend work and site travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent required.
• Third party safety certifications preferred (CHST, COSS, CSP).
• OSHA 510, Construction Safety Standards required.
• 30-Hour Construction Safety Outreach Training required.

Responsibilities

• Review, tracking, approval and administration of job Safety Analysis and other pre-task safety plans.
• Administration of client specific hazardous work permit processes and logs.
• Administration of Contractor Safety orientation process.
• Review and approval of Daily Safe Plans of Action (SPA).
• Collection and maintenance of contractor safety training documentation.
• Completion of construction site safety and health audits.
• Research and interpretation of applicable safety related standards, guidelines and client procedures.
• Work with contractors and project teams to maintain high safety performance.
• Collect, manage and report safety metrics.
• Maintain project safety look-ahead logs and attend weekly meetings.
• Provide recommendations to improve safety programs where needed.
