Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator for a 5-month contract in Charlotte, NC. The role is a 1099 contractor position starting 10/12, with a pay rate of $49/hr and a weekly pay frequency, plus a $150/month completion bonus.

The workweek spans 50 hours, Monday through Saturday, supporting concrete construction activities on-site. The successful candidate will provide field safety oversight, perform site inspections, review JHAs and permits, and ensure OSHA

Qualifications

OSHA 30 Construction Certification required.
Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

Provide daily field safety support for concrete construction activities.
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
Monitor excavation, concrete placement, formwork, rebar, and material handling operations.
Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
Coordinate safety activities with the General Contractor, ownership team, and subcontractors.
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
Support safety meetings and toolbox talks.
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.
