Job summary

Sheakley in St. George, SC is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator for a 5-month, 1099 contractor role on a data center construction project.

Pay is $46/hr with weekly pay and a $150/month completion bonus; schedule is Monday-Saturday, 5x10s with 8 hours on Saturday, averaging about 58 hours per week. Qualifications

OSHA 30 Construction Certification.
Minimum 2+ years of construction safety experience preferred.
Experience conducting field audits, inspections, observations, and hazard assessments.

Responsibilities

Provide daily field safety oversight for electrical construction activities (on site).
Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
Monitor conduit installation, electrical wiring, material handling operations, and elevated work activities.
Review JHAs, AHAs, permits, and pre-task plans.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
Coordinate safety activities with project management, supervision, and subcontractors.
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
Maintain required safety documentation, inspection records, and compliance reports.
Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.
