Sheakley is seeking a Regional Safety Specialist to provide hands-on field safety support on two active commercial construction projects in Huntsville, Alabama. This temp-to-hire position offers a clear path to a permanent role with a salary range of $70,000–$85,000 plus benefits, a performance bonus, and a $500/month gas allowance for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of commercial construction safety experience.
• Experience supporting active commercial construction jobsites.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to conduct field safety observations and reporting.
• Experience assisting with safety documentation, permits, and planning.
• Ability to support orientations and onsite safety training.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety support for commercial construction operations.
• Support plumbing and mechanical contractor activities across two active projects.
• Conduct routine field observations and document safety findings.
• Lead new-hire and site-specific safety orientations.
• Assist with onsite safety training.
• Identify unsafe conditions and communicate corrective actions.
• Assist with incident investigations and follow-up activities.
• Support permitting, safety paperwork, and project planning.
• Coordinate with project leadership and field personnel.
• Maintain required safety documentation and reporting.
• Reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Help maintain a proactive and approachable safety presence in the field.
