Job summary

Sheakley is seeking a Regional Safety Advisor I in Auburn, MA to provide field safety oversight for multiple construction projects across the Auburn region. The role is ~80% field-based and ~20% office-based, visiting several job sites weekly to monitor hazards and enforce safe work practices.

The ideal candidate has a safety-related degree and 1–2 years of construction safety experience, with strong communication and the ability to work with field teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety or closely related field, or nearing completion.
• 1–2 years of construction safety experience.
• Understanding of common construction hazards and controls.
• Ability to work effectively with field personnel and project leadership.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide field safety support across multiple active construction projects.
• Identify and communicate hazards involving traffic, excavations, trenches, shoring, fall exposure, and PPE.
• Coach employees and project teams on safe work practices.
• Build strong working relationships with field personnel and leadership.
• Conduct routine site visits, observations, and safety follow-ups.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective-action discussions.
• Prepare safety reports and maintain required documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams during meetings and planning activities.
• Support consistent implementation of company safety expectations.
