Watson Electrical Construction in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Field Safety Coordinator to ensure OSHA compliance across Virginia job sites. This role will implement and monitor safety policies, deliver training, and work with field teams to foster a safety-first culture.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of safety coordination experience in construction or industrial settings, strong communication, and the ability to travel between sites.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years safety coordination or management experience in construction, industrial, or related fields.
• Knowledge of OSHA and state safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct safety inspections and training.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple sites within Virginia.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and enforce safety programs at field locations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, hazard assessments, and audits.
• Deliver safety training and presentations for employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety complaints, documenting findings and recommendations.
• Assist with the development of safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Keep up-to-date records of safety activities and associated documentation.
• Promote a culture of safety through proactive communication and engagement.
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to resolve safety issues.
• Monitor and manage the use of PPE and other safety supplies.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
