Job summary

Watson Electrical in Wilson, NC is seeking a Field Safety Coordinator to ensure occupational safety and regulatory compliance across Virginia and North Carolina sites. You will implement, monitor, and maintain safety policies, conduct training, and work with field teams to foster a safe work environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of safety coordination experience in construction or industrial settings, knowledge of OSHA regulations, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of safety coordination or management experience in construction or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of OSHA and state safety regulations.
• Ability to conduct safety inspections and trainings.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple sites within Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and enforce safety programs at field locations to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections, hazard assessments, and audits.
• Deliver safety training and presentations for employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety complaints, with documentation and recommendations.
• Assist with the development of safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Keep up-to-date records of safety activities and documentation.
• Promote a culture of safety through proactive communication and engagement.
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to resolve safety issues.
• Monitor use of PPE and other safety supplies.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
