Job summary

SkyChefs is seeking a dedicated Safety Clerk in San Francisco to monitor driver SOPs and help ensure workplace safety across buildings. This is a field position with responsibility for safety compliance and driver file maintenance, with a schedule covering 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM and off Sundays/ Mondays according to operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain Airport SIDA and CBP badges within 30 days.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years of safety experience preferred; AOA ramp experience may be substituted year for year.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications.
Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Train all new drivers on SOP and re-train existing drivers.
Update and maintain all driver files.
Process Port Authority/Customs identifications.
Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance IDs for trucks are current.
Ensure drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures.
Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
