Job summary

SkyChefs in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Field Safety Supervisor to lead safety initiatives across ramp and operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of operations and safety experience required.
• Strong analytical and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, USDA and EPA regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a positive safety culture across ramp and operations.
• Coach employees on safe work practices and identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct safety observations, inspections and audits to prevent incidents.
• Facilitate safety meetings and training sessions.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and solutions.
• Collaborate with local leaders to implement action plans improving safety performance.
• Monitor safety trends and use data to recommend improvements.
• Prepare teams for audits by airline, OSHA, FAA, DOT and internal teams.
• Build relationships with airline partners and regulators to ensure compliance.
• Maintain records and documentation to support audit readiness.
