Job summary

CRH Americas Materials is seeking a Field Safety Specialist I to promote a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple lines of business. You will lead training, inspections, and incident investigations to reduce workplace risk.

The role focuses on coaching, toolbox talks, and corrective action management, with opportunities to partner with site teams and support safety initiatives. Travel may be required to support regional safety objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or two years college preferred; or 1–3 years related experience.
• Prior experience in safety, construction or related industries preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA/ MSHA/ FMCSA-DOT regulations and safety guidelines.
• Strong communication and writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of safety programs, policies and procedures, including new-hire safety orientation.
• Participate in routine safety inspections and site safety planning to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Track corrective actions from inspections, audits and investigations; maintain safety records and training docs.
• Support incident investigations with information collection and documentation.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety stand-downs and other safety trainings.
• Observe work practices and coach for safe behaviors and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with safety initiatives and special projects across business units.
• Other duties as assigned.
