Job summary

CEC Companies seeks a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs on construction projects in Santa Teresa, NM. You will conduct daily field walks, help ensure regulatory compliance, and develop project-specific corrective actions.

This role also includes coaching employees to foster a strong safety culture and conducting site audits of tools and equipment. The position requires the ability to work day or night shifts, overtime, and weekends as project schedules demand, with frequent travel

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in construction safety, electrical/mechanical safety preferred.
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.
• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety discipline is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Crew Foreman/General Foremen in ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses; document ORM board daily.
• Work day and/or night shifts, overtime, and weekends as schedule requires.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with findings, hazards, and corrective actions with photos.
• Interact with field personnel and site supervision to address safety observations and provide resolutions.
• Assist with site safety orientations for new employees joining the project.
• Assist site supervision in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Periodically audit power tools and equipment for maintenance and safety compliance.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and project requirements.
• Perform other related duties to ensure safe and efficient operations.
