Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a Safety Co-op to gain hands-on experience supporting project teams in promoting a safe work environment.

You will work alongside experienced safety professionals and learn regulatory compliance, hazard recognition, safety training, and project safety planning. The role covers multiple operating geographies including Indiana and surrounding states, offering exposure to construction safety practices and growth within a leading general contractor.

Competenze

• Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Technology, or related field.
• All levels eligible (freshman to senior).
• Previous construction, industrial, manufacturing, or safety-related experience is beneficial but not required.

Mansioni

• Assist Safety Specialists and project teams with implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning discussions.
• Conduct jobsite walkthroughs to identify hazards and improvement opportunities.
• Document safety inspections, observations, audits, and corrective actions.
• Support development and maintenance of project safety plans and training records.
• Prepare and distribute safety communications and updates.
• Observe field operations and apply safety requirements to construction activities.
• Assist with incident reporting and investigations and learn root cause analysis.
• Support employee onboarding and orientation related to safety expectations.
• Collaborate with project teams to promote a positive safety culture.
• Maintain records and assist with data collection on safety performance.
