Job summary

ERM is seeking Right of Way (ROW) Agents across multiple locations in the U.S. to support pipeline and electric transmission projects. ROW Agents will acquire land rights, licenses, leases, and permits essential for construction, operation and maintenance of facilities.

This is a project-term, field-based role with 100% travel. ROW roles are filled on an as-needed basis for specific projects. Applicants may not hear back for every submission; recruiters contact suitable matches.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 3 to 6 years of ROW experience.
• Solid working knowledge of personal computers and software (Microsoft Office, Google Earth, ArcGIS, data management).
• Knowledge of real estate values and appraisal practices.
• Ability to work in remote locations for long periods.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct negotiations with land owners or designees.
• Settle complex damage claims related to property during construction.
• Search records to determine ownership interests and value ranges.
• Advise on fair market values for land and land rights.
• Draft or supervise documents for rights of entry, easements, leases, permits, options.
• Comply with health and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
