Job summary

Vault Roofing is seeking a District Sales Manager to lead a field-based sales team, coach reps, and maintain high performance in the Boston area. You will drive results in roofing and home improvement sales while modeling Vault Roofing’s proven sales process.

The role emphasizes hands-on coaching in the field, shadowing reps, recruiting support, and leading by example. Expect a hybrid field/office structure and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing, home improvement, or outside sales.
• Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Comfortable selling in an in-home customer environment.
• Ability to lead by example and demonstrate effective sales techniques.
• Previous coaching, training, mentoring, or sales leadership experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to confidently handle customer questions and objections.
• Self-motivated, competitive, and results-driven.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working independently while also supporting and developing a team.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and other sales technology.
• Willingness to spend the majority of the workweek in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of your time in the field, with some time in the office for meetings, training, and administrative responsibilities.
• Run leads and continue producing strong individual sales results.
• Lead by example by demonstrating Vault Roofing’s sales process and best practices.
• Take sales reps with you in the field so they can shadow your customer interactions and presentations.
• Shadow reps in the field to help ensure they are following the sales process and provide real-time coaching.
• Help reps improve their presentations, overcome objections, close sales, and increase overall performance.
• Assist with recruiting and maintaining appropriate sales team staffing levels.
• Be a resource for sales reps when they need support with customers or sales opportunities.
• Assist with preparing and presenting sales meetings and training content.
• Assist with coaching and training new and existing sales reps.
• Work closely with the Sales Manager to support the overall performance of the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
