Job summary

Destro AI is hiring a Robotics Forward Deployed Engineer to own the software running MothershipOS in live customer warehouses. This field role writes and maintains production code and serves as the engineering presence on-site for deployments, stabilization, and issue resolution.

You will deploy in warehouses, diagnose production issues end-to-end, and collaborate with customer IT and engineering teams. Expect extensive travel and occasional nights/weekends, with high ownership and pressure

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience in systems engineering, robotics software, backend engineering, infrastructure, or field engineering.
• Able to be paged off-hours and travel on short notice.
• Operate independently in ambiguous, high-pressure environments.
• Calm under pressure, direct with customers, and owns issues end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain production code for MothershipOS at customer sites.
• Design internal tools to speed field deployments.
• Translate field learnings into production-hardening fixes in core code.
• Maintain clear documentation and runbooks for cross-site issues.
