Job summary

Destro AI is hiring a Robotics Forward Deployed Engineer to own the software that runs MothershipOS in live customer warehouses. This role writes and maintains production-grade code and serves as the on-site engineering presence for deployments, stabilization, and restoration.

This field role requires travel, going beyond standard hours, and close collaboration with customer operations, IT, and engineering teams to ensure uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of systems engineering, robotics software, backend engineering, or field engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites on short notice and work off-hours.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous, high-pressure environments with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain production code for MothershipOS at client sites, including deployment tooling.
• Design and build internal deployment tools to speed field go-lives and reliability.
• Deploy and validate software stacks in live warehouses with customer IT and operations teams.
• Debug across the full stack from robot state to networking and dashboards.
