Job summary

Ultra in New York City is seeking a Deployment Engineer to lead robotic deployments from floor to production. You will travel to diverse customer sites across the US to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot robots, and train staff to maximize value.

You will voice customer needs to our product, software and ML teams, and contribute to assembly and testing at HQ. A high-autonomy, fast-moving environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel up to 3–4 weeks per month to customer sites.
• Strong engineering foundation with comfort working with customers.
• Proactive, fast-paced, and self-motivated with high autonomy.
• Experience building and troubleshooting robotic/mechanical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot robots.
• Train and support customers' employees to maximize robot use.
• Bring the voice of the customer to product/software/ML teams.
• Assist with robot design, components selection, assembly, and testing at HQ.
• Provide remote customer service via Slack, text, or phone; monitor performance and triage issues.
