Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an Automation & Robotic Welding Service Technician to install, configure, and train customers on robotic and automation equipment in Grand Rapids, MI or Tonawanda, NY.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues, and collaborate with engineering to improve system performance. Travel to client sites will be required, and safety standards must be followed.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in Welding, Robotics, Automation, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Proven experience servicing and maintaining automated systems and robotics equipment.
Strong knowledge of robotics, automation, and control systems including programming on Fanuc, Panasonic, and UR.
Aptitude in welding processes including GMAW, GTAW and Plasma Cutting.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and with teams.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and train on robotic, collaborative robot, and automation equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure peak system performance.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues in robotic systems.
Deliver technical support and training to clients on operation and upkeep of robotic equipment.
Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to resolve complex challenges and enhance performance.
Maintain accurate service records including maintenance logs and repair documentation.
Uphold safety standards and protocols throughout all service activities.
Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
