Job summary

Path Robotics is hiring a Field Service Technician in Detroit to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced robotic welding systems and automation equipment across customer sites. You will apply mechanical and electrical engineering principles and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliable, high‑quality production.

This role requires extensive travel (75%+), hands‑on welding and system integration, and the ability to learn Forge processes and programming prompts.

Qualifications

• Technical training or trade school certificate or equivalent industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems in manufacturing equipment.
• Welding experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• Fluent in English; Spanish desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a state-of-the-art multi-robotic welding system with robotic kinematics.
• Load, monitor, and inspect welded assemblies with robotic vision systems.
• Manage inventory of parts and completed assemblies.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automation equipment and cells at customer sites.
• Record and analyze data to support engineering-driven issue resolution.
• Interface with customers to optimize equipment efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering resources to troubleshoot issues promptly.
