Job summary

DataScan is seeking Field Risk Specialists to audit floorplan inventories at automotive, equipment, and powersports dealerships across assigned territories. You will verify VINs, review records, and resolve discrepancies to help clients manage risk and inventory reporting.

This field-based role requires independent work, travel 5–7 nights per month, and a valid driver’s license. Company vehicle or monthly allowance, plus comprehensive benefits, are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to travel overnight (5–7 nights per month).
• High school diploma or GED required; college education preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Verify in-stock inventory via VIN/serial numbers, outdoors in varying weather.
• Interact with dealership staff to determine missing inventory status.
• Review dealer records for sold, missing, damaged inventory and off-site collateral.
• Verify MSOs and vehicle titles for accuracy.
• Record audit findings using a mobile device audit app.
• Document visit details and audit observations for clients.
• Present audit results to dealership personnel clearly and professionally.
• Communicate findings and risk exposure to client representatives.
