Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics or technical manuals.
• Safety-conscious with ability to follow PPE requirements.
• Read and interpret weight-bearing capacity of tools and equipment.
• Willing to learn and follow safety protocol and rigging practices.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test rigging materials for safety and reliability.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery or equipment.
• Attach loads to rigging and prepare for moving with hand/power tools.
• Select gear (cables, pulleys, winches) based on load specs and job needs.
• Communicate with team to ensure safe hoisting and moving of loads.
• Move and position heavy equipment through confined spaces using rigging gear.
• Dismantle, inspect, and store rigging equipment after use.
• Operate vehicles or mechanized equipment as needed.
