Job summary

Motorola Solutions in Northern Virginia is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and support mission-critical RF and IT systems on-site.

You will develop and maintain codeplugs, deploy subsystems, and perform preventative maintenance across vehicles and infrastructure to ensure security and reliability.

Candidates bring 2+ years in field service, an Associate's degree or technical cert, and the ability to travel; U.S. citizenship required for clearances.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician in LMR, RF, IT, or related.
• FCC GROL license or CET Associate (or higher) required; Network+, CCNA, NRS1 desirable.
• Associate's Degree/Technical Certificate/Technical Military Training required; 2-year Associate's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Codeplug development for customized subscriber radio codeplugs.
• Provisioning & deployment of subscriber and infrastructure equipment.
• Maintenance & repair of LMR subscribers and complex systems.
• Analyze batteries and antennas; repair mobile radio accessories.
• Perform preventative maintenance with trend analysis and problem solving.
• Vehicle installation and preventive maintenance on subscriber radios.
• Create user handouts, trip reports, and conduct training at sites.
• Provide technical support and performance optimization for systems.
