Job summary

Emery Jensen Distribution, a unit of Ace Hardware Corporation, seeks a field-based Retail Sales Specialist serving stores on Oahu, including Honolulu, Pearl City, Mililani and Aiea. You will merchandise, reset stores, write orders, and support buyers to drive retail sales and turns.

The role requires 3+ years retail or 1 year retail with a bachelor’s, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 80% with occasional overnights. A driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of retail or customer service experience or bachelor’s degree with minimum 1 year retail experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills with customers and colleagues.
• Detail-oriented and extremely organized self-starter able to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, solve problems and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously and accomplish objectives in active store environment.
• Ability to climb a ladder, carry 35lbs and put away stock.
• Up to 80% travel including overnights.
• Air travel required for this position.
• Must reside in Oahu - Honolulu, Pearl City, Mililani, Aiea and have a Drivers License.

Responsibilities

• Effective merchandising of planograms to increase inventory turns and sales.
• Maintain excellent relations with store personnel and management.
• Walk floor, inspect Emery Jensen sets, merchandise and stock product as necessary.
• Execute and maintain store level resets to maximize sales and turns.
• Create space on planograms and place new products to drive incremental sales per square foot.
• Assist buyers and store employees to drive retail sales and turns.
• Ensure orders are accurate and transition to selling space in a timely manner.
• Diagnose, research, and answer questions regarding ordering and product trends.
• Provide customer feedback on packing and shipping performance.
