Job summary

Emery Jensen Distribution in Hawaii is seeking a Field-based Retail Sales Specialist to drive sales through merchandising, stocking, order writing, and retail pricing in Oahu stores including Honolulu, Pearl City, Mililani, and Aiea. You will manage planograms, resets, and inventory accuracy.

Requires 3 years retail experience (or 1 year with bachelor's), strong communication, ability to lift 35lbs, and up to 80% travel with air travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of retail or customer service experience or bachelor’s degree with 1 year retail experience
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication with customers and colleagues
• Detail-oriented and highly organized self-starter in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, solve problems and meet deadlines
• Ability to work autonomously in an active store environment
• Ability to climb a ladder, carry 35 lbs, and stock shelves
• Up to 80% travel; air travel required
• Must reside on Oahu (Honolulu, Pearl City, Mililani, Aiea) with a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Merchandise planograms to increase inventory turns and sales
• Maintain relations with store personnel to convey Emery Jensen value
• Walk the floor, inspect sets, merchandise and stock as needed
• Execute store-level resets per expectations to maximize sales
• Create space on planograms and place new products to drive sales per sq ft
• Assist buyers and store staff to drive retail sales and turns
• Ensure orders are accurate and transition from receiving to floor selling space
• Diagnose ordering/product trend questions and provide feedback
• Document shipper performance and item scanning issues
