Job summary

TSMG is seeking a Field Response Operations Supervisor to oversee on-site roadside and fleet-support activities for an autonomous mobility programme. You will prioritise incidents, manage staffing per shift, and serve as the escalation point for complex events, ensuring targets are met and safety standards are upheld.

The role requires leading diverse field teams, coordinating with dispatch and technical staff, and driving continuous process improvements while maintaining auditable operations.

Qualifications

• At least six years of operational experience in mobility, logistics, fleet management, robotics, or related field.
• Two to four years of direct people-management or shift-leadership experience.
• Experience supervising field-based, fleet-based, or mobile teams.
• Proven success in improving processes and managing performance against targets.
• Strong incident-management, escalation, or crisis-response experience.
• Working knowledge of operational safety and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyse performance data and apply structured problem-solving methods.
• Availability to work or provide escalation coverage during non-standard operating hours.
• Experience working in safety-critical, transport-related, or highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day activities of field personnel across the assigned operating area.
• Monitor active cases and ensure incidents are handled within required response times.
• Assign team members to service zones based on demand and fleet activity.
• Coordinate roadside support, vehicle recovery, and passenger assistance.
• Ensure adequate staffing and training for each shift.
• Oversee shift handovers and maintain continuity between teams.
• Review open incidents, delays, risks, and unresolved vehicle issues.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex field events.
• Guide teams during vehicle, passenger, or safety situations and make timely decisions.
• Lead post-incident reviews and identify corrective actions.
• Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Ensure safety, reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing skills development.
• Track performance metrics and continuously improve workflows.
