Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Field Reimbursement Manager to support reimbursement and patient services for specific drug programs. The role is client- and physician-facing, requiring strong relationship-building with offices and manufacturer reps.

Expect on-site and remote education, with travel 4 days a week and a CRM-driven performance focus. Ideal candidates have a 4-year degree, 4+ years in healthcare reimbursement, and proven presentation and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of healthcare related reimbursement experience.
• Strong medical reimbursement experience with Buy & Bill and/or Specialty Pharmacy.
• Experience supporting oncology products preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry including insurance verification, prior authorizations, and/or claim adjudication, physician's office or clinics.
• Must have Medicare and commercial insurance coverage experience.
• Must be able to deliver and document benefit investigation outcomes and relay status reports on a regular basis.
• Proven presentation skills and experience.
• Proven ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong Computer literacy to include PowerPoint and Web Meeting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and on-demand education for the office staff regarding reimbursement challenges and support services, averaging 15 activities per week.
• Educate on Benefit Investigation, Prior Authorization, Medicare and Commercial coverage, and patient communication streams.
• Support case management, billing and coding updates, claims submission, and patient assistance programs; collaborate with case manager on escalations.
• Set up appointments and outbound calls to offices; assist backlog casework; interface with physicians and manufacturer reps.
• Monitor program performance and territory metrics; report quarterly outcomes to clients; review customer surveys.
