Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Field Reimbursement Specialist to educate provider offices on insurance and reimbursement topics, resolving access challenges and guiding payers and clinicians within a designated territory.

You will travel to healthcare offices, present education on coverage and payer policies, and collaborate with patient assistance services to improve patient access to specialty medications.

Qualifications

• Ability to conduct field-based reimbursement and access support, education, and consultation to key account customers and cross-functional partners.
• Understanding of the dynamics of specialty pharmacy.
• Experience with revenue cycle, formulary, benefit investigations, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes.
• Deep understanding of pharmacy benefits/policies.
• Strong time management and planning skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Live within a reasonable commuting distance of a major airport and willingness to travel across territories.

Responsibilities

• Educate providers and office staff on insurance issues and coverage changes within assigned territories.
• Explain payer coverage management strategies including coding, billing, formulary, prior authorization, and appeals.
• Identify root causes of access barriers and provide timely solutions.
• Deliver interactive educational presentations at provider sites of service.
• Provide information on reimbursement topics approved by the client.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
