Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Field Reimbursement Specialist to educate healthcare providers on reimbursement and access for specialty medications. You will resolve coverage challenges and collaborate with patient assistance services to enable patient access across designated territories.

The role requires extensive travel and ongoing documentation of payer policies, coding, and prior authorizations. A PACS certification within six months is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant practice management experience preferred.
• Previous experience as Field Reimbursement Manager/Specialist preferred.
• Experience resolving pharmacy benefit access issues in healthcare.
• Ability to travel extensively.
• Willing to obtain a PACS certification within the first six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Educate provider office staff on access and reimbursement topics using client-approved resources.
• Support appropriate patient access to the client’s products by resolving reimbursement and coverage challenges.
• Collaborate with other patient assistance and reimbursement support services offered by the client.
• Educate staff on payers’ coverage management strategies for product, including coding, billing, formulary, prior authorization, and appeals processes.
• Deliver interactive educational presentations at various provider sites of service.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
