Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based Access & Reimbursement Manager to educate healthcare providers on patient support programs, payer policies, and access options across the oncology portfolio. You will work within a defined territory, collaborating with account teams and internal stakeholders to optimize patient access and reimbursement paths.

The role requires oncology experience, thorough knowledge of coverage and coding, and HCIR credentialing readiness.

Qualifications

• Oncology and/or hematology-oncology experience strongly preferred, incl. physician-administered therapies and reimbursement.
• Understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, and payer policy operations.
• Knowledge of Parts A–D Medicare and related reimbursement dynamics.
• HCIR credentialing requirements and related responsibilities.
• Excellent territory and account management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs, access tools, and services.
• Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options and networks.
• Educate on resources to address access issues.
• Provide local expertise on payor policies for providers and claims processes.
• Collaborate with Oncology internal stakeholders for key account management.
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC teams.
• Establish relationships with providers within territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
