Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine’s PECS team seeks a Field Reimbursement Manager for the Washington, D.C. territory including nearby states. The role educates healthcare providers on reimbursement, facilitates access, and collaborates across sales, marketing, and medical science to improve patient outcomes and access to Janssen therapies.

The FRM spends up to 50% on-site with HCPs, driving education, and resolving access challenges while adhering to ethical and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business/public administration; MBA or MPH preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Account Management and/or Reimbursement experience in provider offices.
• Reimbursement or managed care experience (revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding).
• Ability to establish relationships, collaborate, and influence across a matrix organization.
• Problem-solving ability to navigate access scenarios and identify solutions.
• Superior communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience with patient support HUB services.
• Valid US driver's license and driving record.
• Permanent residence in the listed territory.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on reimbursement processes and coding requirements.
• Collaborate with field support team and serve as access, fulfillment, and reimbursement expert.
• Lead compliant access discussions with field support team.
• Use data and account management to address access barriers.
• Address critical access and affordability issues for patients.
• Partner with managed care colleagues to understand policies.
• Conduct field-based reimbursement and access support aligned to FRM Rules of Engagement.
• Build trust-based relationships with customers in assigned accounts.
• Manage territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
• Stay updated on market dynamics, coverage, and coding requirements.
• Learn hub and specialty distribution channels to support patient needs.
• Collaborate with internal J&J departments as subject-matter expert on access.
